Terms of Service

Last updated October 8, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lightbulb: the Lightbulb software that runs on your own computer or your organization's server (your "installation"), Lightbulb accounts at accounts.lightbulbpartners.com, our websites, and the hosted services that support them, such as the service that connects third-party accounts (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you use the Service for an organization, you accept these Terms on its behalf and confirm that you are authorized to do so. If your organization has a signed agreement or order form with us, that agreement prevails where it conflicts with these Terms.

Who provides the Service

Lightbulb is provided by Lightbulb Partners Pty Ltd in Australia (ABN 93 656 255 784; ACN 656 255 784) and Lightbulb Partners Artificial Intelligence Inc. in Canada. The Lightbulb entity identified in your order form or purchase confirmation is your contracting provider ("Lightbulb", "we", "us"). If you have no order form or purchase confirmation, the Australian entity provides the Service to Australian users and the Canadian entity provides it to Canadian users. For other locations, contact us to identify the provider before purchasing. These Terms do not change the provider named in an existing agreement.

Eligibility and accounts

Your installation

The Lightbulb workspace runs in an installation operated by you or your organization. You are responsible for the computer or server it runs on, its network and physical security, backups, applying updates, and the people you allow to use it. Workspace data is stored in that installation, on infrastructure you control.

Connected accounts and third-party services

You can connect accounts you hold with third parties such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, X and TikTok. When you connect an account, you authorize Lightbulb to access and act on it within the permissions you grant on that provider's consent screen, as described in our Privacy Policy, and as you or other authorized users of your workspace direct through the Service. You can disconnect at any time; see Data Deletion Instructions.

Your use of a third-party service remains subject to that provider's own terms and policies, including its platform and developer rules. You are responsible for the content you publish or send through a connected account and for having the rights and permissions needed to do so.

Acceptable use

You must not, and must not allow others to:

Your content

You keep ownership of the content and data you put into the Service or obtain through connected accounts ("Your Content"). You give us a limited right to host, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Your Content.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Plans, fees and credits

Prices, currency, applicable taxes, billing interval and any renewal terms are shown at checkout or in your order form before you buy. Stripe processes payments. A subscription renews at the agreed interval until cancelled; one-time credit purchases do not themselves create a recurring subscription. Manage subscriptions through the billing portal or contact support@lightbulbpartners.com. Cancellation takes effect on the date shown in the portal or our confirmation. Deleting the software or disconnecting a provider does not cancel a subscription. We will disclose price changes before they apply to a future renewal so you can cancel first. Refunds are available where required by law or agreed with us in writing; contact us about a disputed charge or a service problem. Nothing in these Terms takes away a right to a refund, repair, replacement, cancellation or compensation under applicable law.

Our software and intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, including the Lightbulb software, websites and documentation. Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use the Lightbulb software and to use the hosted services for your internal business purposes while your subscription is active. Open-source components are licensed under their own licenses, which govern those components.

Privacy and data deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including data from connected Google, Meta, LinkedIn, X and TikTok accounts. Our Data Deletion Instructions explain how to remove Lightbulb's access to your accounts and delete your data.

Changes to the Service and availability

We may change, add or remove features. Features labeled beta or preview may be incomplete. Hosted services may be unavailable at times, for example during maintenance or because a connected platform changes or withdraws access. Unless your agreement includes a service-level commitment, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time, disconnect connected accounts and ask us to close your Lightbulb account. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, do not pay amounts due, or if needed to protect the Service, other users or a connected platform. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.

After termination, data in your installation remains under your control; export or back it up before removing the software. Hosted account and connection records are handled as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Instructions. Closing an account does not itself trigger an automatic refund of unused Managed AI credits. Contact us before closing an account to resolve any unused balance under the purchase terms and your applicable legal rights. When a credit purchase is refunded, the corresponding credit entitlement is removed. We do not use these Terms to impose an undisclosed credit expiry or forfeiture.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

Responsibility and liability

Each party is responsible for its breach of these Terms in accordance with applicable law. These public Terms do not impose a separate monetary liability cap or exclude liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. A separately negotiated business agreement may allocate risk or set limits, subject to applicable law. Your statutory rights and remedies remain available.

Governing law

The law governing your agreement is determined by applicable law and any valid choice of law in your signed agreement. These public Terms do not require exclusive litigation in a foreign court, mandatory arbitration, or waiver of a right to complain to a regulator. Mandatory consumer and privacy protections that apply where you live continue to apply.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give reasonable notice through the Service or by email. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept them.
